Cookie policy

Last updated: 2026-10-26

In accordance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), this Cookie policy provides information about the cookies and similar storage technologies used on the website https://guforge.com and on the example websites hosted on its subdomains, such as chiringuito-linda.guforge.com (hereinafter, together, "the Website"), whose owner is identified in the Legal notice.

1. Definition

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device while browsing. Those set by the site itself are called "first-party cookies" and those set by other services "third-party cookies".

2. Technical cookies

They are necessary for the operation and security of the Website and are therefore exempt from the requirement to obtain consent.

guforge-cookie-consent (first-party): stores the user's answer to the cookie notice so that it is not requested again. It is not an HTTP cookie but an entry in the browser's local storage (localStorage). Duration: until the user clears the browser data or changes their choice.

guforge-lang (first-party): keeps the language selected by the user. It is an entry in the browser's local storage (localStorage). Duration: until the user clears the browser data.

cf_clearance (Cloudflare, third party): only set when Cloudflare's security network asks the user to pass a check, in order to remember that it was passed and to tell people apart from malicious automated programs. Duration: up to one year.

3. Analytics cookies (PostHog)

The Website uses PostHog, a service of PostHog Inc. with the data hosted in the European Union, to know the number of visits and the pages and links of greatest interest. The data is analysed in aggregate, is not used for advertising and is not disclosed to third parties.

While the user has not answered the notice, or if they reject it: PostHog counts the visit without setting cookies or storing information in the browser. To avoid counting the same visit twice, it computes an encrypted summary (hash) of the IP address, the browser and the domain with a key that changes daily; it then discards the IP address, and that summary cannot recognise the user on another day or device.

If the user accepts: PostHog stores in the browser a cookie and a localStorage entry (`ph_<project key>_posthog`) with a random identifier, in order to recognise subsequent visits and sessions. Duration: one year. It may also use the IP address to determine the country of access, without keeping it.

Legal basis: the user's consent (article 6.1.a GDPR) for analytics cookies and legitimate interest (article 6.1.f GDPR) for the anonymous count without cookies.

4. Managing consent

On the first visit the user is asked to accept or reject analytics cookies, both options being equally accessible. The user may change their choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If consent is withdrawn, PostHog stops using its cookies and returns to the anonymous count.

5. Browser settings

Users may also block or delete cookies through their browser settings:

Google Chrome

Mozilla Firefox

Apple Safari

Microsoft Edge

6. Further information

For any question about this policy, users may write to [email protected]. Information on the processing of personal data is available in the Privacy policy.
